Indications:
Pirolam Intima Vag is a medicinal product used to treat infections of the vagina and vulva (female external genital organs) caused by microorganisms such as fungi (usually Candida ), sensitive to clotrimazole. The medicine is intended for use in adults and adolescents from 16 years of age.
Properties:
Pirolam Intima Vag vaginal tablet helps fight the most troublesome and troublesome symptoms of an intimate infection: pain, burning, itching and vaginal discharge. The active substance of the preparation is clotrimazole, an antifungal drug from the group of imidazole derivatives. The active substance has a wide range of antifungal properties - it destroys fungi and inhibits their growth, and is effective against many species of dermatophytes and yeasts. The action of clotrimazole leads to the inhibition of the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of the fungal cell membrane. The cell membrane is damaged, resulting in the death of the fungal cell.
Ingredients:
1 vaginal tablet contains 500 mg of clotrimazole.
The other excipients are: lactose monohydrate, corn starch, potato starch, adipic acid, sodium bicarbonate, magnesium stearate, colloidal anhydrous silica, sodium lauryl sulfate.
Use:

Recommended dose:
Adults and adolescents from 16 years of age:
One vaginal tablet, deep into the vagina, at bedtime.
The medicine is used in a single dose. The vaginal tablet should be placed as deep into the vagina as possible.
Provide a moist vaginal environment for the tablet to dissolve completely. Otherwise, undissolved parts of the tablet may slip out of the vagina.
Important information:
Do not exceed recommended doses. Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the preparation. Some diseases and other circumstances may constitute a contraindication to the use or an indication to change the dosage of the preparation.
Pirolam Intima Vag can be used during pregnancy. During the first 3 months of pregnancy, consult your doctor before using Pirolam Intima Vag.
In the last 4-6 weeks of pregnancy, the genital tract should be kept particularly clean.
You should consult your doctor if:
infection occurred for the first time
4 or more infections occurred in the last year
the temperature is elevated (38°C or higher)
you have pain in your lower abdomen or back
there is foul-smelling vaginal discharge
you experience nausea
there is bleeding from the genital tract and/or pain in the arms.
Other vaginal products (including tampons) should not be used simultaneously with the preparation. The preparation may reduce the effectiveness of contraceptives (such as latex condoms and vaginal rings). Packaging: 1 tablet
